SRMG is a group of caring medical professionals dedicated to ensure that our patients and clients receive the best possible care and service. We do not take this responsibility lightly, which is most evident in the range of services that we offer and the infrastructure that we have created to provide this service from our state of the art Medical Practice.
Our practice is located in the heart of Albany, one of the most scenic towns in Western Australia.
For over 40 years the Southern Regional Medical Group's doctors have looked after the health of the local residents and visitors both within our practice setting and the Albany Regional Hospital.
Our focus is to provide professional, personal care and an important part of this is getting to know you better. We have 14 doctors both male and female who enjoy being at the frontline of health care and they make the time to listen to your needs. Our doctors bring a wealth of experience in General Practice and also in specialised areas such as Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Obstetrics, Anaesthetics, Women's Health, Paediatrics and minor surgery.
Today nurses play an active role in General Practice. We have three Registered Nurses who perform a range of treatment room procedures as well as immunisations, on-site or off-site. We also have a strong focus on pro-active health management and have designed a number of health management programs to assist our patients with chronic medical conditions to improve their quality of live. All of our nurses are involved in these programs (see "Services" for more information on our programs).
Our Dietitian consults on Tuesdays and Fridays and can see both referred and private patients and our visiting Diabetes Educator, Suzanne Bellanger holds clinics in our rooms once a week. We also have a clinical psychologist who consults from our practice on Thursdays, and who has a special interest in dealing with perinatal depression.
